Buss, Ernest (16 AUG 1874 - 12 JUN 1956)

 

At two o’clock tomorrow afternoon funeral services for Ernest Buss, 81, will be conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  Rev. H. D. Wagner will officiate at the final rites and Masonic services will also be conducted under the direction of the Owen Masonic Lodge, of which Mr. Buss was a charter member.

 

Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.  Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home until tomorrow noon.

 

Ernest Buss was unmarried and passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, at 1:45 Tuesday afternoon where he was being treated for pneumonia.

 

Born August 16, 1874, in Germany he came to America as a child with his parents and received his early education in Detroit, Mich.  Later they moved to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) where he served for many years as a timber cruiser for the John S. Owen Lumber Co., first starting in that capacity in 1889.

 

He is survived by a brother, Charles of Withee, and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles Buss, and a number of first and second cousins.
