Krey, Mildred (26 DEC 1947)

REEDSBERG(special) Miss Mildred Krey and Immanuel Leschensky were united in marriage at St. John’s Lutheran church here at 12 o’clock noon on Friday, Dec. 26, midst a setting of poinsetta plants and Christmas trees.

The marriage ceremony was performed by the groom’s father, the Rev. H. F. Leschensky of this city, and his brother, the Rev. Eugene Leschensky of Cedarburg.

Mrs. Scheide of Lodi sang "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer" at the ceremony. The Lohengrin and Mendellsohn wedding marches were played by Edwin Roever on the organ.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Krey of Reedsburg. She wore a wedding gown of Japanese silk, made with a fitted bodice, which was worn by her mother at her wedding. With this, she wore a floor length veil and carried a bouquet of white mums, calla lilies and ferns.

Mrs. Fred Stambough was her sister’s matron of honor and wore a formal gown of gold colored silk, with matching mitts and plume headdress. Lucille Brown was bridesmaid, and wore chartreuse fashioned in floor length style, with which she wore a matching plume headdress and white mitts. The bride’s attendants carried bouquets of white mums and pink rosebuds.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Armin, as best man, and Burdette Lindeman, while Melvin Krey and Fred Stambough were the ushers

Mrs. Krey wore a teal blue dress to her daughter’s wedding, while the groom’s mother wore navy blue. Both wore corsages of yellow and white pompoms and pink rosebuds.

A reception for 55 guests was held in the church parlors following the ceremony. Following a wedding trip to Chicago, the newlyweds are now at home to friends in Lodi.

Mr. Leschsnsky formerly resided at Loyal, where he graduated from high school in 1935.

The Loyal Tribune extends to the young couple its wishes for happiness.
