Stuve, Gwendolyn (7 JUN 1957)

The Rev. H. D. Wagner officiated at a marriage ceremony Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Christian and Missionary Alliance Chapel, Owen, during which marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Gwendolyn M. Stuve, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howell A. Stuve, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Ronald G. Hurley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hurley, Colfax.

The bride, who wore a lace over satin gown, fingertip veil secured to an orange blossom headpiece and carried deep red roses with lily of the valley, was attended by her sister, Mrs. Robert Anderson, as matron of honor.  Mrs. Anderson wore a pastel blue nylon net over matching taffeta with a floral headband and carried pink carnations, white stephanotis and forget-me-nots.  Dressed like her was the bridesmaid, Mrs. Laurie Anderson.

Robert D. Anderson, the best man, is a brother-in-law of the bride and a cousin of the groom.  Another cousin, Laurie Anderson, was groomsman.  The ushers were Paul and Dwight Stuve, brothers of the bride.

Little Vicki Anderson, Sturgis, S.D., came to Owen to be flower girl for her aunt.  She was attired in a white dotted Swiss over blue taffeta frock and carried a basket of red rose petals and pink and white tea roses.  William Kostlevy, Loyal, the bride’s nephew, carried the rings.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the chapel parlors.  The newlyweds then left on a honeymoon trip through southern Wisconsin, following which they will reside in Minneapolis, where Mr. Hurley is employed.  He is a graduate of Colfax High School.  His wife, a graduate of Owen High School, also was a student at Stout State College, Meonominie.
