Henke, Marian (13 JUL 1957)

St. Bernard’s Church at Thorp was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Marian Henke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Henke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Henke, and Jerome Pabich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pabich, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).  The Rev. A.M. Muckerheide officiated at the exchange of vows.

A waltz length gown of pink nylon was chosen by the bride for her maid of honor, Miss Cahterine Conway.  Similar dresses in pastel shades were worn by the bridesmaids, Miss Mary Ann Wyczawski, Miss Louise Salwach and Miss Josephine Hmielak, all of Thorp.  Taffeta and net styled their underskirts, topped with billowing nylon.  They carried bouquets of gardenias.

The bride approach the altar in a floor length gown of embroidered nylon tulle over taffeta.  The fitted bodice was styled with short puff sleeves and a band of lace medallions encircling the scooped neckline.

Alex Pabich, a cousin of the groom from Owen, served as best man.  Two other of the groom’s cousins, Edward Pabich and Daniel Smigg, attended as groomsmen.  Lawrence Henke, the bride’s brother, and Norbert Pabich, the groom’s brother, ushered.

Completing the procession of attendants were the flower girl and ring bearer, Jeanne Graham and David Henke, a niece and nephew of the bride.  Jeanne was attired in a white floor length gown.

Dinner for 100 guests and a supper for 225 guests were served in St. Hedwig’s Hall.  When they return from their honeymoon in Michigan, the couple will reside in Thorp.
