Thieme, Annette (5 OCT 1957)

Yellow mums and pink roses surrounded the white orchid in the heart shaped bouquet that Miss Annette T. Thiem held when she knelt before the altar to exchange marriage promises with Lester C. Frahmann on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Curtiss.  Nylon lace combined with tulle over satin to fashion the full length gown donned by the bride, who was given in marriage by her father.  Cascades of ruffles detailed the sides of the skirt that swept into a train.  The bodice had long sleeves and a scalloped neckline.  Sequins that matched the trimming on her gown were used to embellish the lace crown that secured her fingertip veil of illusion.

Officiating at the 1:30 o’clock rites for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Thieme, and the son of Mrs. Sylvia Frahmann, all of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), was the Rev. F. H. Sprengler.  Appropriate nuptial music on the organ was provided by Mrs. Jack McCorison, Owen, who also served as accompanist for Miss Grace Schultz, Appleton, when she sang "The Lord’s Prayer: and "O Perfect Love."

Bolero jackets were worn over the strapless bodices of the full gown frocks worn by the bridal aides, Mrs. Art Marcott, Dorchester, sister of the bride, as matron of honor, and Mrs. Richard Mengel and Miss Lois Frahmann, sister of the bride and groom, respectively, both of Owen, and Miss Judy Miller, a cousin of the groom, as bridesmaids.  For boquets they carried arrangements of yellow mums and pink roses.

Attendants for the groom included Art Marcott as best man, William Frahmann, Owen, his brother, Richard Mengel, and Ronald Frahmann, Curtiss, a nephew, as groomsmen.  In the roles of ushers were Arnold Thiem, Owen, a brother of the bride, and Danny Thompson, also of Owen.

During the reception at the Thieme home, the bride’s mother received her guests wearing a blue dress complemented with a corsage of pink roses and white carnations.  A similar corsage was worn with the grey suit donned by the groom’s mother.

The newlyweds will reside in Owen, where the groom, a veteran of two years’ service in the U.S. Army, is engaged in construction work.  His bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School.
