Pernsteiner, Anna (02 MAR 1904 - 21 JUNE 2010)

 

Anna Pernsteiner, 106, Greenwood, died on Monday, June 21, 2010, at the Marshfield Care Center. Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 25, at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

 

Anna Burdick was born on March 2, 1904 on Clark County, to Alfred and Flora (nee Kiser) Burdick. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in Clark County area schools. She married Manuel Marcou in 1922. They later divorced. She was homemaker and also went to work for Briggs and Straton in 1934, where she operated a drill press for 25 years until retiring in 1959. She married Leo "Jimmy" Kasmierczak in 1939. After Jimmy’s death, she enjoyed traveling and visited every state in the U.S. In 1970 she married Joe Pernsteiner in Greenwood. She resided 9in Greenwood until entering the Marshfield Care Center in December 2007. She was a former member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing.

 

Survivors include one granddaughter, Donna Marcou, Wauwatosa; one grandson, James Marcou, Hales Corners; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Jimmy Kazmierczak and Joe Pernsteiner; her son, George Marcou, in 1996; her daughter-in-law, Marion Marcou, in 2008; and four sisters and one brother.
