Zupanc, Mary (27 MAR 1914-07 MAR 1948)

 

A requiem high mass was read at 9 o’clock Saturday morning in St. Anthony’s Catholic church here for Mrs. Anthony Zupanc, 34, who died at Rochester, Minn., on Apr. 7. The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer officiated at the rites, and burial was made in the Holy Family cemetery at Willard.

 

Pallbearers were Nick Babish, Rudolph Singer, Casper Shober, Joseph Zupanc, and Mike and August Podobnik.

 

Mrs. Zupanc, the former Mary Parkal, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkal, was born in Mulberry, Mo., on Mar. 27, 1914. She received her education in Greenwood and at the La Crosse Business college. In June, 1946, she married Anthony Zupanc in Milwaukee.

 

Before her marriage two years ago she was a cashier at Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee. Surviving her besides her parents and husband, are a 14-month old son, Thomas; a brother, Frank Parkal, of Willard, and five sisters, Mrs. August (Theresa) Podobnik and Mrs. Nick (Ann) Babich of Greenwood, and Misses Helen and Millie Parkal and Mrs. Donna Singer of West Allis. An infant brother preceded her in death.

 

Out-of-town people who attended the funeral were Mrs. Ann Kalous and daughter, Janice, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Castner of Cadott, Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Dernovsek of Sheldon, Mrs. George Gregorich of Zwingle, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Nick Babich and daughter, Donna Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Singer and Misses Mildred and Helen Parkal of West Allis, and Frank Zupanc of Port Edwards.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved wife, mother and daughter.
