Susa, Mr./Mrs. John (50th - 20 JUN 1917)

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Susa Sr., of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 17, 1967.  The family attended a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s.

 

Their marriage took palce June 20, 1917 at St. Mary’s at Greenwood with Father Chas. Achtelik officiating.  They were attended by Hattie (Susa) Bodwin and Albert Susa.

 

John Michael Susa was born in Buffalo County, Sept. 24, 1892, to Joseph and Susan Susa.  He was educated in the Town of Eaton (Clark Co.) and spent most of his life in Clark County.  He has been town chairman and assessor for Eaton Township.  He was retired in 1960 and is in fairly good health.

 

Dora Susa was born in Trempealeau County, Oct. 17, 1897, to Stanley and Pauline Bautch.  She was educated at City Point.  Her hobbies are flowers and fancy work. (We hear she is interested in Honda riding).  Her health is good.  They are both members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

 

A dinner was held at St. Mary’s Hall followed by Open House at their home.

 

The cake was baked by Mrs. Robert Susa.

 

Their children are John of Greenwood; Cletus of Willard; James, Rt. 2, Loyal, and Giles of Greenwood.  There are 23 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

 

Guests were in attendance from Minneapolis, Minn.; Lake Forest, Ill.; Chicago, Ill.; Eau Claire; Milwaukee; Vesper; Owen; Marshfield; Sparta, Neillsville, La Crosse; City Point; Loyal; Greenwood and Clintonville.
