Wildish, John B. (28 OCT 1942 - 11 AUG 2010)

 

GREENWOOD -- John B. Wildish, 67, of Greenwood died at his home Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood. Burial will follow in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and again Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

John Booth Wildish was born Oct. 28, 1942, in Eau Claire, the son of Everett W. and Myrtella (Booth) Wildish. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on May 9, 1962, and served until his honorable discharge Dec. 21, 1962. John was united in marriage to Diane Hribar on Nov. 30, 1963, at the United Methodist Church in Neillsville.

He worked for Justin Kopf in Marshfield as a plasterer, at Northern Auto in Neillsville as a salesman, and then with his brother-in-law, Bob Marty, at Bob's Masonry. They moved to Greenwood, where he worked at Greenwood Homes until its closing, and then went to work at Landini Realty until retiring in 1990.

John is survived by his wife, Diane, of Greenwood; his son, James (Kristilyn) Wildish of Wisconsin Rapids; his daughter, Cindy (Shane) Rasmussen of Greenwood; five grandchildren; and one sister, Marilyn (Bob) Marty of Neillsville.
