Kissinger, Vera #2 (15 MAR 1902 - 11 APR 1950)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Alvin Kissinger, 48, who lived on a farm west of Chili (Clark Co., Wis.), were held at 2 p.m. last Friday at the Veefkind Lutheran Church.  She died on Tuesday, April 11, 1950, at Granton.  Burial was in the parish cemetery, with the Rev. Adolph Schumann of Globe officiating.

 

Pallbearers were Leonard Gehrke, Julius Schroder, Melvin Tews, Bill Rahm and John and Philip Kurz.  Flowers were in charge of Mrs. John Kurz, Mrs. Bill Rahm, Mrs. Leonard Gehrke and Mrs. Julius Schroeder.

 

Relatives attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Woodkey, Mrs. Martha Krasselt, Mrs. F. C. Kuehn, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Karau, Miss Helena Sigert, Mr. and Mrs. William Luchterhand and daughter, Margie, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hoff, Mrs. Cora Dietsche, Mrs. Vera Engelhardt, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dietsche, Mrs. Emily Genett, Mrs. John Sebastian and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Luchterhand, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Gust Pischer and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Krasselt and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Siegert Krasselt and daughters and Alpheus Dietsche, all of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dietsche and family of Greenwood.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderegg and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dietsche and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Kissinger of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. James Engstrom of Woodstock, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sebastian of Evanston, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beager and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Zizkhur of Antioch, Ill.; Mr. Ina Robinson of Milton Junction, and Mrs. Clifford Vickle of Tomah.

 

Mrs. Kissinger (nee Vera Krasselt) was born at Kankakee, Ill., on Mar. 15, 1902, the daughter of the late Ernest Krasselt and Martha Krasselt.  In 1914 she moved, with her parents, to a farm in Clark County.  She was confirmed in Salem Lutheran Church and on June 20, 1923, was united in marriage to Mr. Kissinger.  One son, Gordon, was born to this union on Apr. 29, 1925, and passed away on June 28 of the same year.

 

She was a member of the Lutheran Church and had lived at the present home for the past 20 years.

 

She is survived by her husband; her mother, Mrs. Martha Krasselt of Marshfield; two brothers, George and Siegert Krasselt of the town of Sherman, and three sisters, Mrs. Susie Anderegg of the town of York, Mrs. Elsie Luchterhand of Marshfield and Mrs. Emma Engstrom of Woodstock, Ill.  Her father, son and two sisters preceded her in death.
