Woodkey, Ida (8 MAR 1860 - 13 AUG 1950)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Woodkey, 90, were held at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, with the Rev. John C. Langholz officiating.  Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Ferdinand Gotter, Philip Capelle, Gust Voigt, Fred Kuester, Otto Rossow and August Ehlert.  Misses Rochelle Lautenbach and Wilma Deuermeyer sang "Abide With Me," "For Me to Live Is Jesus" and "Near, My God, to Thee," accompanied by Miss Dorothy Capelle.

 

Mrs. Woodkey, who passed away at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 1950, of old age complications, was born in Germany on March 8, 1860.  She came to this country about 60 years ago, settling in the town of Lowell, Dodge Co.  From 1900 to 1920 she lived in the town of Sherman (Clark Co., Wis.), moving to Loyal in 1920.  She was preceded in death by her husband, August J. Woodkey, who passed away in May 1937.

 

Surviving are four sons, Max, August and Charles of Marshfield, and Otto of Milwaukee, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
