Speerbecker, Joan (19 AUG 1950)

Miss Joan Speerbecker, daughter of Alfred Speerbecker of Marshfield, and Harold (Jim) Parmelee Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parmelee Sr. of Marshfield, exchanged wedding vows at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 1950, at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshfield, with the Rev. Arthur R. Oates officiating.

For her wedding, the bride chose a wine wool gabardine suit with grey accessories.  Her corsage consisted of white roses.

Miss Charlotte Mehlbrech of Wis. Rapids was the maid of honor.  She was attired in a grey suit with black accessories and wore a corsage of pink tea roses.  Vernon E. Speerbecker, brother of the bride, was best man.

Completing the wedding party were Leroy Gilhausen, cousin of the bride, and Duane Parmelee, brother of the groom, who ushered for the ceremony.

Both attended the Marshfield High School.  The groom, well known as a pitcher for the Loyal Blackhawks, is employed at the Borens Sport and Glass Shop in Marshfield, and the couple will reside at 404 West Sixth Street in that city.

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
