Mr. and Mrs. Joel Skoog and son, Vaughn, of Colby, were supper guests of her mother, Mrs. Helena Woempner, on Mother’s Day.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. John Nikolay and Mrs. Royal Archambo attended a Jefferson-Jackson day dinner at Milwaukee Saturday evening. Mrs. Anna Nikolay accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Frank Niklolay to Milwaukee and returned to visit her daughters.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lundahl and three children of Ripon visited his mother, Mrs. George Lindahl, Saturday. They were returning from a two weeks trip to Longmont, Colo. They also stopped at Rapid City, S. Dak., and visited Sgt. and Mrs. John C. Bitter and family.

 

Eddie Suder, Jr., accompanied by Miss Loretta Lavin of Medford spent Mother’s Day with his mother, Mrs. Ida Suder.

 

Mrs. M. C. Thompson, Mrs. Al Holtzhausen, Mrs. Peter Alexander, Mrs. M. C. Bunnell and Mrs. Marie Garbrecht attended the spring meeting of the Clark County Council of the American Legion at Loyal on April 27.

 

Mrs. Edwin Hoeft returned Tuesday night after a two weeks’ stay at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pudleiner and family of Janesville.

 

Mrs. Wilbur Kuehnast, Mrs. Alfred Scheel, accompanied by Mrs. Sherman Loos of Colby, visited Miss Janet Johnson at Memorial Hospital, Wausau, Monday afternoon. Miss Johnson is expected to be discharged Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Kuehnast and Mrs. Scheel will bring her home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Zabinski and family spent the week end at St. Cloud, Minn. They went to attend the wedding of his brother, Virgil.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Rauschl and five children of Midland, Mich., spent Wednesday and Thursday of last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Noonan. Mrs. Robert Leichtnam and family of Marshfield were also visiting here.

 

Mrs. Vane Gokey accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Vane Gokey, Jr., and family to Minocqua Saturday and attended the wedding of Mrs. Vane Gokey, Jr.’s sister, Jeanette.

 

Mrs. Clarence Dolan underwent major surgery at Sacred Heart hospital, at Eau Claire Wednesday morning of last week. Sister Tiernan of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Miss Mary Dolan of Kansas City came Wednesday and stayed until Sunday evening at Eau Claire. Mr. Dolan was there Wednesday and again Saturday and Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Janda and son, Louis, spent Sunday at the Paul Steffen home at Milwaukee.
