Feierabend, Renate Maria (Marriage - 20 June 1959)

 

The Alpine Chapel, Prinz Heinrich Kaserne, in Lenggries, Germany, was the scene June 20 of the wedding of Renate Maria Feierabend, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Feierabend, 30 Greiling, Germany, and Lt. James W. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Verne G. Howard, Rt. 2, Granton.

 

Capt. William C. Devanny, army Chaplain, performed the double ring ceremony for the military wedding uniting the young couple.  Baskets of white hydrangeas decorated the chapel.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white lace town of ballerina length.  Her shoulder-length veil was held in place by a lilies of the valley and net tiara.  She carried a white prayer book, topped with a spray of lilies of the valley.

 

Mrs. William J. Keene was her matron of honor.

 

The groom was attended by Capt. William G. McGann as bestman.  Capt. Hobert Whitmer and 1st Lt. Sam Levington ushered.

 

The groom and his attendants were attired in officers dress uniform.

 

Two hundred guests attended the reception at the Prinz Heinrich Kaserne Officer’s Club in Lenggries.

 

On their return from a tour of Northern Europe, which will include Sweden, Norway and Denmark, their address will be: Q. M. Signal School Europe, APO 108 New York N.Y.
