Etzkorn, Carole (Marriage - 1 August 1959)

St. John the Evangelist Church in Kohler was the scene August 1 of the wedding of Miss Carole Etzkorn of Kohler, and Ronald Gruenke, of Neillsville.  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Cox.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Etzkorn of Kohler, was given in marriage by her father.  She was attired in a floor length, white embroidered silk organza gown and carried a white prayer book topped with a white orchid and stephanotis.

Mrs. Carl Schulz attended her sister as matron-of-honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. Virginia Makarwictz, sister of the bride, and miss Rogene Gruenke, sister of the groom.

Bestman was Bernie Gene Gruenke, a cousin. A brother, William Gruenke, and Gordon Froelich were groomsmen.  Performing the role of miniature groom was a nephew, Michael Gruenke of Sheboygan.  Miniature bride was Gail Schulz, a niece of the bride, from Kohler.

Following the wedding a reception was held in the Knights of Columbus Hall, and was attended by 300 guests.

They will reside in Milwaukee, where Mr. Gruenke is attending Layton Art School and is employed in a studio.

Mr. and Mrs. F. Gruenke and daughter, Rogene, Neillsville, attended.
