Savina, Denise (5 June 1971 - 23 October 2010)

 

Denise Savina, 39, of Lublin, formerly of Stanley, died suddenly from natural causes, Saturday, October 23, 2010, at home.  She was born on June 5, 1971, in Stanley the daughter of William and Patricia (Dusick) Savina.  She later moved to Minnesota with her parents and graduated from Osseo High School in Minnesota.  "Dee Dee" moved back to Stanley years later and has lived here since. 

 

She was known for her cooking and loved gardening.

 

Denise is survived by her daughter, Lakyn; her fiancé, Bob Fritz of Lublin; her father, William Savina of Cumberland; her mother Patricia Savina of Boyd; her maternal grandfather, Charles Dusick of Thorp; her paternal grandmother, Norma Savina: her brother, Brian (Jessica) Savina of Rice Lake; her nephew, Jayce; and step-mother, Jane Savina.

 

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Vince Savina and her paternal grandmother, Marie Dusick.

 

A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Joseph Raja officiating. Burial followed at the parish cemetery.  Visitation was from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Plombon Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home prior to Mass time at the church.
