Denk, Diane (Marriage - 24 October 1959)

Married at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal were Miss Diane Denk of Loyal and Gerald R. Anderegg of Kenosha, with the bride’s cousin, Fr. Philip Scherer officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Denk of Rt. 1, Loyal, and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Anderegg of Rt. 1, Greenwood.

Mrs. Anderegg selected for her bridal attire a floor-length gown of nylon tulle, made with long, pointed sleeves, square neckline, and a full skirt with a front pinafore panel. Her fingertip veil was attached to a tiara, and she carried a shower bouquet of roses and stephanotis.

The bride chose for her attendants her five sisters, Miss LaVonne Denk as maid-of-honor, and Pat, Kathy, and Linda, all of Loyal, and Mrs. Allen Schoonover, Waukesha, as bridesmaids.  They were gowned in rose colored nylon organdy formals, with full, gathered skirts, white lace bodice, and matching jackets of nylon organdy. They carried baskets of white ‘mums and rose carnations; and their headpieces were of baby ‘mums.

The groom chose Bill Ehlers of Greenwood as his best man.  His other attendants were Butch Harder of Kenosha and Allen Schoonover, brother-in-law of the bride. Terry Denk, Portsmouth, N. H., brother of the bride and Dick Scherer, Greenwood, cousin of the bride, ushered.

The nuptial high mass was sung by St. Anthony’s choir.

A noon time lunch was served in St. Anthony’s hall, and reception and supper were given at the home of the bride’s parents. A wedding dance was given at the Silver Dome, west of Neillsville.

The groom is a graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed at American Motors in Kenosha. The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School. They will make their home at Kenosha.

Guests came from Greenwood, Spencer, Marshfield, Alma Center, Milwaukee, Neillsville, Cleveland, O., and Chicago, Ill.
