Pfohl, Rev. John G. (24 June 1904 - 2 November 1959)

 

Funeral services will be held from Trinity Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. Friday for the Rev. John G. Pfohl, 55, pastor of the church for the last four years who died suddenly Monday evening following a heart attack.

 

The Rev. H. C. Milius of Augusta and the Rev. Ervin Deidel of Wausau will be in charge.  Following the services the body will be taken to Cedarburg, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday.  Burial will be made in Cedarburg.

 

Friends may call at the Myre Funeral Home Thursday evening.

 

The Rev. Mr. Pfohl had served Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal since March 6, 1955, going there from Leland.  A native of Wilmore, N. Y., he was born March 24, 1904, and was graduated from the Martin Luther Seminary in Buffalo, N. Y.

 

Mr. Pfohl was ordained June 24, 1928, and held his first parish at Random Lake.

 

He was married to the former Cordelia Lueder on October 15, 1930, in Cedarburg.

 

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. James (Ruth) Unmacht of Dubuque, Ia.; two sons, Ronald, who attends Michigan State University at East Lansing, Mich. and Harold at home. Two grandchildren, three brothers and five sisters also survive.
