Lasiuk, Josephine (2 MAR 1897 - 3 NOV 1956)

 

Last rites were conducted by Rev. F. Piekarski at ten o’clock Wednesday morning, Nov. 7th at St. Hedwig’s Church for Mrs. Stanley Lasiuk, 59, who passed away at the Stanley Hospital on Nov. 3rd, 1956, after a short illness.  Josephine Bieniasz was born in Poland on March 2, 1897 and came to America in 1907, residing in Buffalo, N.Y. for a number of years and later moved to Lublin, Wis.

 

She was united in marriage to Stanley Lasiuk at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on July 24, 1922 and has resided in this community on a farm since that time.

 

She is survived by her husband and one son, Richard of Thorp, two daughters, Helen, Mrs. Fred Opoka of Chicago, and Genevieve, Mrs. James Petranovich of Thorp, and one step-sister, Mrs. Antonette Gwiazdon of Thorp and three grandchildren. A step-brother, Stanley Kaleta, preceded her in death.

 

She was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s New Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Walter Reyzer, Frank Gwiazdon, Peter Gwiazdon, Ralph Koperski, Henry Cieslik and Henry Budzinski.

 

Out of town relatives called here to attend the funeral were Mrs. Johan Lasiuk, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lasiuk, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Lasiuk, all of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kaleta of Chicago.
