Micke, Mr. & Mrs. William A. (25th - 20 JUN 1957)

 

On June 20, 1932 Florence Plecity became the bride of William A. Micke at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Thorp.  On Saturday, June 22, 1957 they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary beginning with a Mass at 8:30 a.m. with Rev. A.M. Muckerheide, who performed their marriage ceremony in 1932, still pastor of St. Bernard’s Church, officiating.

 

Mrs. Micke wore a dress of blue shantung and a corsage of gardenias and red rosebuds.

 

The attendants of their who were present on the occasion on Saturday were Mrs. Roy Harper of Milwaukee, sister of the bride, Mrs. W. G. Vanderhyden of Thorp, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Robert Turenne, a friend, of Thorp, who was the flower girl at their wedding.

 

A wedding breakfast was served to the immediate family at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Murnie Anderson.  A reception and supper for 140 guests were held at St. Bernard’s Parish Hall and a dance in the evening at the American Legion Hall.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Micke, who have spent their married life on a farm in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) have a family of five children: William, Armon, Joan, Carol and Gerald.

 

Relatives and friends from out of town who were present for the celebration were: Mrs. Harper and children, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Warner and daughter, Germaine, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Carlson, Richard Vanderhyden, Sandra Kropusek and Bill Neubauer, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Frank Velcheck of Stevens Point, Mrs. Marion Culbert, sons Pat and Tom and Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Lennie, all of Eau Claire, Miss Verona Klauck of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Olson of Berlin, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Micke of Gilman, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Spaeth of Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sawczuk of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Benzschawel of Monticello, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weix of Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Schultz of Wausau.
