Haselow, Bertha (7 May 1876 - 13 August 1960)

 

Mrs. Bertha Haselow, 84, of Spencer, Rt. 2, died in Neillsville at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.  She had been taken to the hospital on Thursday following a fall at her home.

 

The former Bertha Bloedow was born in Germany May 7, 1876.  She came with her parents to the United States when a young girl and settled in the Town of Loyal.

 

She was married to William Haselow on April 17, 1900, in Trinity Lutheran Church. After their marriage they moved onto a farm in the Town of Sherman, and she spent her remaining years there.

 

She is survived by three sons: Erwin of Chili; Albert, Spencer; and Elmer, Owen.  Thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive.  Her husband died July 15, 1951. Also, preceding her in death were a son, Edwin, in 1959; and a sister and three brothers.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Trinity Lutheran Church.  Burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.  The Rev. Virgil Ganz officiated.
