Herman, Hattie (20 AUG 1880 - 9 OCT 1957)

 

Mrs. Hattie (Swierkowski) Herman of Gilman passed away at the Stanley Hospital on Oct. 9, 1957 at the age of 77 years.

 

The deceased was born in Poland on Aug. 20, 1880 and came to America with her parents at the age of 1 ½ years.  They resided in South Chicago for a number of years and in 1915 came to this community.

 

On April 28, 1903 she was united in marriage to John Herman who preceded her in death.

 

Surviving her are six sons, Michael, Edward, Martin, Pete, Sylvester and Leon; four daughters, Petronella, Sylvia, Lucille and Catherine; one brother, Stanley Swierkowski, Chicago, one sister, Sister M. Terresia O.S.N., Campbellsport, Wis.

 

Funeral services were held at 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning, Oct. 12th at Sts. Peter and Paul Church at Gilman, Rev. John Dzurko officiating and interment following in the Meadowbrook Cemetery there.  Pallbearers were Pete, Michael, Martin, Edward and Leo Herman, and Delbert Bishop.

 

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Miss Lucille Herman and Mrs. Henrietta Sarger of Waukesha, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oerman, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Slupski, Mrs. Ed Cheze and daughter, Miss Rose Swierkowski, Mrs. Hattie Etachura, Mrs. Joseph Krakowiecki, Mrs. Marion Herman, and Mrs. Tony Lukas, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Zaborowski, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Herman, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wichlocz, Mrs. Clara Ebben, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schmidt, Mrs. Louis Misfeldt, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman and Tony Swierkowski of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Bishop, Proctor, Minn., Rev. Stanley Krakowliecki, Dodge, Wis.; and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Krabowiecki, Lublin, Wis.
