Reigel, Martha (9 October 1881 - 14 September 1960)

 

Mrs. Henry Reigel died Wednesday morning at her home in Owen.  She was the former Martha Blum of Neillsville.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 P.m. in Owen.  Burial will be made in the Town of Levis Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry (Martha) Reigel, 72, were held Saturday from the Gospel Tabernacle in Owen.  Burial was made in the Town of Levis Cemetery, near Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Reigel, the former Martha Blum, was born here October 9, 1881, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Caroline Wegner) Blum.  In December, 1909, she was married to the late Henry Reigel at the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred Schroeder, in Neillsville.  She attended Meadowview and Neillsville schools.

 

Following their marriage they resided in various cities of the state where Mr. Reigel was engaged as a section foreman for the Soo Line Railroad.  After moving to Owen he was Chief of Police and pastor of the Tabernacle Church.

 

She is survived by a foster daughter, Mrs. Emma Skutak of Owen; a brother, John Blum of Wausau; and two sisters, Miss Johanna Blum of Owen, and Mrs. Jacob (Elizabeth) Wendell of Chicago.

 

Among those attending the services from Neillsville were: Mrs. Marie Keller, Mrs. Paul Blum, Mrs. Carl Schroeder, Mrs. Grace Daniels, Mrs. Meta Hanby, Miss Jennie Drescher and Mrs. B. H. Peterson.
