Mozinski, Mike (7 SEP 1880 - 24 NOV 1957)

 

Mike Mozinski was born Sept. 7, 1880 in Detroit, Mich., and passed away at the Luther Hospital at Eau Claire on Sunday, Nov. 24th, 1957 after a lingering illness.  He was 77 years, 2 months and 17 days old.

 

During his younger days he was employed as a school teacher and later became engaged in farming.  He moved to Warsaw, N.D. in 1934, where he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Kozlowski on Nov. 21, 1916.  They came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) soon after.

 

He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth, one son, Benedict of Loyal, Wis., one daughter, Mrs. Anna Peterson, Birchdale, Minn., five brothers, John, Marion and Anton of Grafton, N.D., and Martina and Peter whose whereabouts are unknown; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Tomczak, Gilman, Wis., Mrs. Mike Jasinski, Thorp, and Mrs. John Mager, Warren, Minn., 11 grandchildren, Mrs. Jack McCoy, Cheyenne, Wyo., Phyllis, Ardys, Wilbur, Diane, Arthur J. Peterson and Benedict, Sharon, Linda, Philip and Dennis Mozinski, and one great-grandson, Philip John McCoy.

 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Connie Chilicki at St. Hedwig’s Chapel in Thorp City at 11 a.m., Nov. 27th with interment following in the parish cemetery.  Pallbearers were John Badzinski, Florian Gulczynski, Roman Litinuck, John Zurakowski, Stanley Lendowski and Charlie Jasinski.

 

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Gulczynski of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Florian Gulczynski and family, Greenwood, Mrs. Martha Jasinski, Withee, Wis., Mrs. Martha Tomczak, Gilman, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Roman Lityinuk, Greenwood, Wis.
