Wehe, Helen Lucille (Marriage - 29 October 1960)

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Loyal was the scene last Saturday morning of the wedding of Helen Lucille Wehe, daughter of John Wehe of Loyal, to Norbert Ross Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson of Rt. 1, Loyal.  The Rev. Norbert E. King performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride approached the altar on the arm of her father, wearing a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace over net, with scalloped neckline.  A sequin crown, trimmed with pearls, held her fingertip veil and she carried a bouquet of red carnations and white pompoms.

Maid of honor was her sister, Marceline Wehe; and bridesmaids were Andrea Wehe, another sister of Loyal; and Gwen Ystad of Greenwood, a cousin of the groom.

Albert Wehe, brother of the bride, was the bestman; and ushers were Donnie and Sennie Olson, brothers of the groom.  Norman Schlinsog of Granton was the ringbearer.

Music was furnished by St. Anthony’s choir, accompanied by Sister Vera Marie.

A wedding dinner and supper were served in the church hall, and at the home of the groom’s parents.  A dance was held in the evening in the American Legion Memorial Hall at Neillsville.

Both young people are graduates from Loyal High School and both have been employed in Milwaukee, where they will make their home.
