Grant (3 November 1960)

Victor Braatz, Gordon Meddaugh, the Rev. Evan Dieck, Harold Junchen and Walter Durst attended a church organizational meeting in Wausau Sunday.

Glenn Short and Walter Embke visited relatives in Leadminster, Alberta, Canada, a few days last weekend.

Gordon Vine, Dale and Glenn Short took part in a pheasant hunt in South Dakota last week.

Mrs. George Buddinger of York Center and Mrs. Earl Zille of Neillsville visited Mrs. Racie Selves Saturday.

When Mary Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verne G. Howard, started on her trip to Germany last week, she missed the "400" at Merrillan.  Her brother, Bill drove her to Milwaukee, where she took a plane for New York.  The U. S. S. United States, one of the fastest ships afloat, was scheduled to dock at Bremerhaven, Germany, Saturday afternoon.  Mary will spend two months visiting her brother, James, in Germany, and will travel in West Europe.

Clarion Counsell plans to drive to Platteville this week to join with his wife at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Victor Pagenkopf.  Mrs. Counsell was called there last week by the illness of her (missing information).
