Litka, Ida L. (6 February 1885 - 13 November 1960)

 

Mrs. William (Ida L.) Litka, 75, a resident of the Town of Loyal for 50 years, died Sunday morning at her home after a lingering illness.  Funeral services were held Tuesday from Trinity Lutheran Church.  Burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.  The Rev. V. A. Ganz officiated.

 

Ida L. Foelske was born February 6, 1885, in Hartford, and was married April 20, 1904, in the Town of Beaver to William Litka, where they lived on a farm for six years before moving into Town of Loyal.

 

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Women’s society.

 

She is survived by two sons and four daughters: Orvin of Milwaukee, Reuben of Loyal, Mrs. Henry (Lucille) Polzin of Milwaukee, Mrs. Edwin (Clara) Bauer of Marshfield, Mrs. Oscar (Laura) Bauer of Spencer, Mrs. Paul (Adeline) Otto of Milwaukee. Fifteen grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, a brother, Albert Foelske of Loyal, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Litka, also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. William (Ida L) Litka, 75, of Rt. 1 Loyal, who died November 13, were held from Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal November 16, with the Rev. V. A. Ganz in charge.  Burial was made in the Loyal City Cemetery. 

 

Pallbearers were grandsons: Duane Komis, Gerald Fischer, Jerome, Allen, Gerald and Donald Bauer.  Mrs. Romain Rossow, accompanied at the organ by Carol Noeldner, sang "Heaven is My Home," and "Let me Go."

 

Women of the church organization attended the service in a body.

 

Among those attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Litka and Gwendolyn, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Otto, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Polzin, Mr. and Mr. Gerald Fischer, Duane Komis, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Hetzel, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hetzel and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Polzin and family, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hanson of Colgate; Oscar Melius of Adell, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Weber, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weber, (missing lines here).
