Moldenhauer, Lillian (2 April 1893 - 2 December 1960)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the United Church of Christ for Mrs. Lillian Moldenhauer, 67, who died December 2 at her home in Neillsville. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Moldenhauer, the former Lillian Keller, was the daughter of the late Willis and Isabelle (Taylor) Keller. She was born April 2, 1893, at Dells Dam, in the Town of Levis. She received her education in the Dells Dam School.

 

Her family moved to Missouri, and in 1911 she was married to William Fay.  Following the death of Mr. Fay in 1918, she resided in St. Louis, Mo., until (blur), when she married Ervin Moldenhauer in September (blur).  They moved to Neillsville, where they operated a jewelry store.  After Mr. Moldenhauer’s death in 1945, Mrs. Moldenhauer continued to operate the store until 1959, when she sold the store to R. H. Sollie and retired.

 

She was a member of the United Church of Christ, the Women of the Moose, the Women’s Relief Corps, and the Business and Professional Women of Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Moldenhauer is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Michael (Irene) Lesner and Mrs. Warren (Dolly) LaCroix, both of Chicago; and by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Robert Keller of Arkansas, Mrs. Doris Bates and Mrs. Lizzy Grey of St. Louis, Mo., Edgar, Arthur, Katherine and John Keller all residing in Michigan, Mrs. Eunice Duty of South Carolina, Mrs. Icelene Lewis of Missouri, and Mrs. Ethel Heindrich of Wausau.

 

Pallbearers were: William Hanson, Henry Hauser, Alfred Moldenhauer, R. H. Sollie, Harry Wasserberger and Wilbert Wischuelke.  Mrs. Robert D. Peters sang two hymns, "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Just as I am", accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

Members of the Women of the Moose, the Women’s Relief Corps, and the Business and Professional Women of Neillsville attended the service in a group.

 

People from away here for the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Warren LaCroix and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lesner, Chicago, Ill.; Arthur Keller, Milan, Mich.; Mrs. Ethel Heinrich, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Klemp, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Will, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Klemp, all of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Scheel, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Heinrich, Schofield; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Marheine, Tripoli; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moldenhauer, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Moldenhauer, Miss Doris Moldenhauer, Wilbert Wischuelke, Mrs. Ted Beilke and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Beilke, all of Granton.
