Grau, Joyce (7 JUN 1952)

 

Miss Joyce Grau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Grau, Calamus, Iowa, and Frank Pieper Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pieper Sr., Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), were married Saturday, June 7th, 1952, at 2 o’clock at the Faith Lutheran Church in Calamus.

 

The Rev. Reuben Radar was the officiating clergyman.

 

The bride selected a gown of white ninon over taffeta.  Her shoulder length veil extended from her headdress.  She carried a bouquet of white carnations with white streamers.  She was attended by her sister, Miss Darlene Grau, who wore identically styled gown in pink and carried a bouquet of white carnations tied with blue ribbon.

 

Rueben Pieper, Milwaukee, the groom’s brother, was best man.

 

The newly married couple greeted guests that afternoon at a reception in the church basement.  About 150 attended.

 

Fifty guests were served at an eleven o’clock wedding breakfast.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Clinton High School and attended college two years.

 

The groom is a graduate of the Loyal High School and has attended Wartburg College at Waverly, Iowa, for two years.  He is studying for the ministry.
