Anderson, Charles Jr. (9 April 1929 - 26 December 2010) With flag

 

Charles Anderson, Jr. age 81, of the Town of Worden passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 26, 2010.  Services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stanley, WI.  Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Stanley, WI.  Friends and family may call on Wednesday evening from 4—8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

 

Charles was born April 9, 1929, in Stanley, WI, the son of the late Charles, Sr. & Annie (Johnson) Anderson.  He grew up in the Stanley area and was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley, and graduated from Stanley High School. Charles proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict, earning a double bronze star.  On April 24, 1952, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Peterson. The couple resided in the Town of Worden, farming, with Charles also driving truck for a local milk route.

 

Charles is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the Town of Worden; his two sons: Barry Anderson of Stanley, WI, and Randall Anderson of Chippewa Falls, WI; one granddaughter, Abbe; and one brother, George Anderson of Stanley, WI.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Judy K. & Sandra A.; and three brothers, Arnold, Murnie and Leonard.
