Kopinski, Leann (2 September 1954 - 27 December 2010)

 

LeAnn Kopinski, 56, of Neillsville died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at her residence.  A private family memorial service will be held at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.

LeAnn Kopinski, 56, of Neillsville died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at her residence.

 

LeAnn Van Kirk was born Sept. 2, 1954, in Black River Falls, the daughter of Warren and Dolores (Haus) Van Kirk.  She attended school in Humbird and graduated from Alma Center High School in 1972.  LeAnn served in the United States Navy from Feb. 2, 1973 to March 21, 1974.  Upon her discharge, she attended college in Rice Lake and a community college in Portland, OR.  LeAnn then returned to Humbird, where she farmed and raised her children.  She was united in marriage Aug. 30, 1999, to Joseph Kopinski in Wausau. They moved to their current residence on Fairground Avenue in 2000.

 

LeAnn loved animals.  She also liked gardening, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her husband, Joe; two children, Toni Van Kirk and Chad (Holly) Hollett; a granddaughter, Lily Van Kirk; and two grandsons, Ashton Hollett and Brody Hollett.  LeAnn is also survived by her mother, Dolores Van Kirk and three sisters, Jodie Mook, Kelly Janke and Lynn Sternitzky.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Van Kirk.

 

A private family memorial service will be held at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
