Clyde Misfeldt, 80, 308 W. Main St. Thorp, died Friday January 10, 1997, 10:00 p.m. at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.

 

Clyde was born January 20, 1916 to John and Mabel (Hubbard) Misfeldt at Thorp, WI.  He married Louise Herman July 16, 1940 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp.  He was a veteran of World War II Navy, past commander of Thorp American Legion, retired manager of Midland Coop in Thorp, retired firemen with Thorp Fire Dept, co-founder of Thorp Alumni Association, retired milk inspector.  He was a member of American Legion Post  #118, Thorp.

 

Surviving are two sons: Tom (Lisa) Misfeldt, Eau Claire, Terry (Kristine) Misfeldt, Green Bay; 7 grandchildren and two brothers: Roland Misfeldt, Withee and Loren Misfeldt, Antigo. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Louise, May 22, 1984 and 1 brother.

 

Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 1997 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church,  Thorp with Rev. John Puerner, officiating.  Burial was in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorials be given to the Eau Claire Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
