Nelson, Irene #2 (14 DEC 1898 - 17 FEB 1961)

 

Services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Albert Nelson, 62, who died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

 

The Rev. Lawrence F. Faivre officiated at the services at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church.  Interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were George Vetter, Peter Hansen, Lowell Dorn, Martin Larson, Clarence Goase and Emil Daellenbach.

 

Mrs. Myron Greaser and Mrs. Anthony Kittl sang at the ceremony, and Mrs. L. F. Falero was the organist.

 

The former Irene Thompson was born in Neenah Dec. 14, 1898.  She lived at Gladstone, Mich. and Marshfield before coming to Abbotsford, where she completed her education.

 

After her marriage to Albert Nelson, the couple farmed in rural Abbotsford until they retired and moved to the village a few years ago.

 

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Abbotsford Women’s Club.

 

She is survived by her husband, a son, Clarence, Abbotsford, rt. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Dorothy) Thieme, Colby, rt. 1, a sister, Mrs. Adeline Anderson, New York, and eight grandchildren.

 

Her stepmother, Mrs. Edith Earl, also survives.
