Greenwood, Wisconsin (Farm Institute - 1954)

 

A Farm Institute will be held at the Greenwood High School on Thursday, January 28. It is being sponsored jointly by the Greenwood High School Agricultural Department and the Clark County Extension Service.  The program will start at 10:30 a.m.

 

Profs Jim Crowley and E. N. Fisher, both of the University of Wisconsin, will be the principal speakers.  Prof. Crowley will discuss "Let’s Raise Those Calves" in the morning and "Disease Prevention" in the afternoon. The afternoon talk will cover such things as milk fever, mastitis, actinoyces and other cattle diseases.

 

Prof. Fisher will talk on "Fly Control for the Dairy Farmer" and "Protecting Crops from Insect Damage."  Dewayne Dickson of the American Dairy Association of Wisconsin will discuss, "Your A. D. A." A few remarks will be made by Stanley Ihlenfeldt, County Agent, to open the meeting, and Mr. Clifton Fonstad, principal of the Greenwood High School, will "Welcome" the group following the noon program.
