Farrell, Marie  (23 JAN 1909-16 FEB 2003)

 

Marie Farrell, 94, Mayville, died on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at the Mayville Nursing Home. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.

 

Marie Podrovitz was born on Jan. 23, 1909, in Milwaukee, to Tom and Martha Podrovitz. At a young age, she moved with her family to Tioga, where she attended the church school. She also attended high school in Fairchild and Humbird. After moving to Milwaukee, she married Joe Farrell in January 1931. They lived their entire married lives in Milwaukee. Her interests included socializing, dancing, bowling and bingo.

 

Survivors include two sons, Eugene (Sue) Farrell, Colorado, and Jerry (Shirley) Farrell, Horicon; one sister, Catherine Plautz, Greenwood; one son-in law, Ken Ross, California, one brother-in-law, George Plautz, Greenwood and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding her in death were her husband, Joe Farrell; one daughter, Lorraine; two brothers, George Podrovitz and Steve Podrovitz; and two sisters, Ann Roberson and Frances Plautz.
