Tritz, Joseph  (04 JUNE 1926-24 JAN 2003)

 

Joseph C. Tritz, 76, Marshfield, died on Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. The Rev. James J. Logan officiated. Music was provided by Suzanne Golden, organist, and Michael Gonering soloist. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Military rites were accorded by American Legion Post #54. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Brian Eskildsen, Todd Eskildsen, George Kellner, Jason Kellner,Lee Hetze, Craig Tritz and Ryan Lapp.

 

 

 

Joseph Clemence Tritz was born on June 4, 1926, in Marshfield. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War ll from Oct. 24, 1944, until his honorable discharge on Nov. 12, 1946. On Aug. 27, 1949, he married Idele E. Fischer at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. He was employed at various businesses in Marshfield and retired from Roy’s Conoco Service Station in 1988. He was a member of the Marshfield Senior Citizens Craft Shop, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council #1799. His interests included bowling and woodworking.

 

Survivors include his wife, Idele; three daughters, Sandra Tritz, Marshfield, Marilyn "Tootie" (Lynn) Eskildsen, Loyal, and Linda (James) Gilbertson, Chili, two sons, Kenneth (Karen) Tritz, Hewitt, and Joseph Tritz, Marshfield; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Pat (Don) Mueller, Marshfield.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents, and two sisters, Clara in infancy, and Rosemary Slomski.

 

Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
