Denzine, Patricia L. (18 AUG 1961)

Rantous, Ill. is the home of Heinz Fischer and his bride, the former Pat Denzine, as he is in the air force, stationed at Channie Air Force Base.

Karl Heinz Fischer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fischer of Abbotsford, and Miss Patricia L. Denzine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Denzine of rt. 2, Athens, were united in marriage, Friday afternoon, Aug. 18, 1961, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan.  During the 2:30 o’clock ceremony, at which the Rev. Ferdinand Timler officiated at the double ring exchange of vows, Miss Dorothy Kiesor and Mrs. Welden Brown Jr. sang "O Perfect Love" and "Lord, Who at Cana’s Wedding Feast."  Mrs. Orville Barkow was organist and accompanist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a floor length gown of nylon tulle and lace.  It was designed with a fitted bodice, short sleeves and a scalloped Sabina neckline embroidered with sequins.  Over the bouffant tulle skirt were two tiers of scalloped lace.  A crown of seed pearls and rhinestones held her veil of English illusion.  She carried a bouquet of large red roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Kurt Bartz of Merrill served as matron of honor and Miss Diann Koehler of Abbotsford was bridesmaid.  Both wore white chiffon dresses.  Mrs. Bartz wore a blue picture hat and carried a bouquet of carnations and blue pompons and Miss Koehler had similar accessories in yellow.

Kurt Bartz attended the groom as best man and Larry Empey of Abbotsford was the groomsman.

After the church services, festivities of the wedding day included a small reception at the home of the bride’s parents, and supper at the Skylite Club, and a wedding dance at the Trianon Ballroom.  Midnight lunch was served at the home of the bride’s parents to almost 150 guests.

The bride attended the Abbotsford High School and the groom was graduated in May and enlisted in the air force.
