Slupski, Paula P. (25 May 1932 - 10 January 2011)

Paula P. (Abbruzzese) Slupski, age 78, born May 25, 1932, a loving wife and mother, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011. She was loved by one and all.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, of 58 years.  Their travels took them to Montana, California and Las Vegas.  Above all she treasured the love and peace of her family.  There was always a pot of soup or a dish of pasta read for any of her children or grandchildren that visited daily.  Paula so loved the serenity and peacefulness of her home in Montana.  She would spend hours watching the eagles and wildlife on the Clark Fork River.

Paula is preceded in death by her adored parents, Nicholas and Valerina "Lena" Abbruzzese, and sister, Marie Nestor.

She is survived by her husband, John; sister, Phyllis Buchanan; brother-in-law, Paul Nestor; sons: Dennis (Rene), John-Paul (Terri), and Nick (Angie); daughter, Julie (Jeff) Riddle; grandchildren: Caleb, Luke and Josh Slupski, Danielle (Matt) O’Connell, Aaron, Zach and Adam Slupski, Jacob and Gabe Slupski, Levi and Audrey Riddle; great-grandchild due in February; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends called Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home from 3 - 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m.  Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Anthony Missimi presiding.  Interment followed at the St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, friends who wish, may contribute in memory of Paula to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, 2831 Prospect Avenue Cleveland, Ohio 44115-2606.
