*Kiviko, John (12 September 1882 - 4 January 1961)

Services for John Kiviko, 78, were held last Saturday from the Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen, with the Rev. Wilkman in charge.  Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery at Withee.

The pallbearers were sons, and granddaughters served as flower girls.

Mr. Kiviko died January 4. Death was attributed to heart trouble.

Born September 12, 1882, in Finland, Mr. Kiviko married Johanna Sofia Kukku September 10, 1910, in DeKalb, Ill.  They came to Clark County in 1911, settling in the Town of Longwood.  They farmed there until their retirement in 1943, and then retired to DeKalb, where they stayed for two years before returning to the Owen-Withee area.

Surviving are Mrs. Kiviko, who lives in Curtiss; five sons, John of DeKalb, Ed of Curtiss, William of Spencer, Leonard of Owen and Reino of Rochelle, Ill.; and a daughter, Mrs. Einar (Lila) Jackson of Greenwood.  Eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

*The obit above shows it Kivikko, but all the others on the website record the name as Kiviko
