Kryzanski, Elizabeth (21 October 1871 - 12 January 1961)

Miss Elizabeth Kryzanski, 89, died January 12 at Bethel Convalescent Home, where she had been a patient since January 6.  She suffered a stroke December 31.

Elizabeth Kryzanski, daughter of Michael and Mary (Lagjocki) Kryzanski, was born October 21, 1871, in Poland.  When she was a young girl she came to the United States with her parents to Connellsville, Pa., where they lived until 1900, when they came to Thorp.

For the last 27 years she had made her home with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Reinholt Lukstein, in Thorp, and last summer she came with the Luksteins to Greenwood and settled on the former Charles Shefchik farm, in the west city limits.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Reinholt (Wanda) Lukstein of Greenwood and Mrs. Martin (Victoria) Nebraski, Connellsville, Pa.; and by a brother, Joseph Kryzanski of Milwaukee.

Funeral services were held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Hill Funeral home, and at 9 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The Rev. Edward Hartung officiated.  Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
