Dankemyer, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman (Golden - 16 February 1961)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dankemyer entertained Sunday in honor of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer on their 50th wedding anniversary. Dinner was served in the new Gerald Dankemyer residence on Grand Avenue.  Present were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Seif and Marilyn of Augusta, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Beil and Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer of the Town of Fremont.

 

Freeman Dankemyer and Elsie Krause were married February 16, 1911, in Granton by the Rev. Jacob Reiff.  Mr. Dankemyer was graduated from the University of Minnesota dairy school and was employed as a cheesemaker in Riverside Cheese Factory, Town of Fremont, for more than 35 years. he has been farming for many years near Chili, where they make their home.

 

Mrs. Dankemyer was born near Granton, where she received her education. She taught rural school in Clark County prior to her marriage.

 

They have four children and eight grandchildren. Two children not present for the golden wedding anniversary were: Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Berg of Texas and Natalie Dankemyer of Wisconsin Rapids.
