Langfeldt, Helen  (28 SEPT 1953)

Miss Helen Marie Langfeldt became the bride Monday, Sept. 28, of  Norman Polasek of Minneapolis at a 9 a.m. ceremony in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, the Rev. Norbert E. King, officiating.

Breakfast was served to the wedding party at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Langfeldt, who also served a luncheon there for 60 guests. Dinner was served to 150 guests in St. Anthony’s Hall and a wedding dance was given at the Country Ballroom, Marshfield.

Imported French Chantilly lace over satin formed the bridal gown for Miss Langfeldt. The nylon tulle yoke was decorated with a scattering of sequins and rhinestones.

Her full bouffant skirt was made with a chapel length train. To hold her finger-tip veil of sheer imported illusionette she wore a headpiece of rhinestones and seedpearls. The flowers she carried were an irregular arrangement of stephanotis, phalenopis, and angels feathers, centered with white orchids.

Miss Joann Langfeldt, Stevens Point attended her sister as maid of honor, and serving as brides maids were the bride’s sister, Miss Lois Ann Langfeldt, Stevens Point, the groom’s sisters, Miss Dolores Polasek and Miss JoAnn Polasek, Dancy, and Miss Darlene Wolfe, Loyal.

The maid of honor wore a waltz length strapless gown of maize styled with a skirt of pleated nylon tulle tiers and a matching voloro lace jacket.

The bridesmaids’ gowns of turquoise were in the style similar to that of the maid of honor.

The flowers of all the bridal aides were arrangements of cascades of bronze mums and orange delight roses with ribbons matching the gowns. Each wore a head piece of a small wreath with sequin trim and rhinestone ear-rings, gifts from the bride.

Diane Rueth, cousin of the bride wearing yellow taffeta with a ruffled net over skirt, was flower girl. Her flowers were a miniature replica of the bride’s bouquet. She wore a gold cross as a gift of the bride. Danny Langfeldt, brother of the bride, was ring bearer.

Basil Polasek served as best man for his brother. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. William Polasek of Dancy. Other attendants were Harold Burkhardt, Stratford; Jerome Daul, Dancy, cousin of the groom and Robert Langfeldt and Allan Langfeld, Loyal, brothers of the bride. Herbert Langfeldt, Loyal, brother of the bride, and Elmer Daul, Dancy, cousin of the groom, ushered.

Sister M. Virginia was organist for the wedding service and St. Anthony’s church choir sang. The music consisted of four songs—Roulers "Wedding March," "Regina Pacis," "Ave Maria" by Arcadelt and a hymn "To Thee Holy Virgin."

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue suit with navy accessories and the groom’s mother wore a brown dress with brown accessories. Both wore a corsages of white carnations.

The bride is a graduate of the local High School and has been employed by Marathon Electric at Wausau. The groom graduated from the Marshfield High School and is attending Gale Institute in Minneapolis.

After a honeymoon in southern Wisconsin, they will be at home at 1000 w. Franklin St., Minneapolis, Minn.
