Pease, Ida (11 March 1870 - 3 September 1961)

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Ida Pease, 91, Janesville, a former Neillsville resident, who died September 3 in a nursing home in Janesville. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery with the Rev. Lloyd Mauer of the Methodist Church officiating.

 

Mrs. Pease was born March 10, 1870, in Watertown the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bauman.  She received her education in Watertown and as a young lady came to Clark County to work.

 

On March 10, 1891, she was married to the late Sylvester Pease in York Center.  They farmed in the Town of York until 1924, when they retired and moved to Neillsville.  Several years ago she returned to Janesville to make her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ernil Pease.

 

She was a member of the Neillsville Methodist Church and of the Women’s Relief Corps.

 

Surviving are two children, Ernil Pease, Janesville and Mrs. Pearl Luebke, Deridder, La.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
