Yenni, Nancy Irene (Marriage - 30 September 1961)

Miss Nancy Irene Yenni, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Yenni, and Larry Dean Wendt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Wendt, both of Neillsville, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Frank B. Harcey in the United Church of Christ.  Mr. Yenni gave his daughter in marriage.

Bouquet taffeta fashioned the bridal gown, which featured a floor-length, full bouffant skirt, styled with a princess panel front and back bow on a chapel train.  The fitted Basque bodice was accented with a scoop neckline with Venice lace trim coming to a point at the waistline, all edged with pearl and sequin trim. Long, tapered sleeves came to a point at the wrist.  Her imported bridal illusion fingertip veil was held in place by an open crown of pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of white chrysanthemums centered with a white orchid.

Attending as maid-of-honor was her sister, Miss Janice Yenni, and her bridesmaid was Miss Judy Gagnon of Spooner, both of whom were attired in street-length dresses of autumn lilac, styled with velvet bodices and cap sleeves. Their empire waists and semi-belled skirts were of Peau material. They wore open crowns with nose veils and matching accessories.

Clair Wendt was bestman. Dennis Harcey attended him as groomsman.  Merlin Kroll and Charles Swann were the ushers.

"Entreat me not to Leave Thee" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Miss Mary Ylvisaker.

A reception was held in the Masonic Temple.

Mr. and Mrs. Wendt are graduates of Neillsville High School. The groom is employed in Neillsville and the bride attends vocational school in Eau Claire. They will reside in Granton.
