Lautenbach, Idelle J. (16 May 1934 - 26 March 2011)

 

Idelle J. Lautenbach, 76, of Wisconsin Dells died unexpectedly Saturday, March 26, in her home.

 

She was born May 16, 1934, in the Township of Lynn, Clark County, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Steffan) Schier.  Idelle was a graduate of Granton High School.  She married to Richard L. Lautenbach Oct. 30, 1954.  Idelle retired from Flambeau Plastics in Baraboo.  She then worked in the kitchen at Paul Bunyan’s Northwoods Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells.  Idelle enjoyed yard work and feeding the birds. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan.  Idelle was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, and a member of the Sarah Circle. She will be remembered as a loving and helpful mother and grandmother.

 

Survivors include her three daughters, Lois (David) Morris of Reedsburg, Deborah (David) Gudenschwager of Hillpoint and Fay (Robert) Nault of DeForest; five grandchildren, John (Carla) Pretsch, Aaron (Oxana) Peper, Brittany Peper, Brandon Peper and Megan Nault; three great-granddaughters, Jenna, Juli and JoAnn Pretsch; two sisters, Dolores Boller of Hancock and Ruth Moore of Longview, WA; one brother, LaVerne "Bud" (Grace) Schier of Marshfield; her brother-in-law, Dale (Rose) Lautenbach of Wisconsin Dells; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, Nov. 17, 2008; her son, Ricky Lautenbach, Nov. 25, 1975; and two sisters, Luella Langrehr and Betty Masephol.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor David Glesne officiating.  Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoof Funeral home in Reedsburg and from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church.
