Rossow, Julius  (16 FEB 1874-03 NOV 1953)

 

Julius Rossow,79, Loyal, died in the Neillsville Hospital at 2:05 Tuesday morning, Nov. 3. He had been ill for some time and had been a patient in the hospital for a week.

 

The body is lying in state at the Myre Funeral Home and funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Friday. He will be buried in the Loyal cemetery. Grave-side rites will be conducted by members of the local Masonic lodge.

 

Julius Rossow was born in Germany, Feb. 16, 1874. He came to America when 8 months old. He was married to Hulda Neuman, June 11, 1901 in Loyal. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm north of Loyal. For several years Mr. Rossow worked as a salesman for Watkins Co. Six years ago he moved into the city of Loyal. He served as a member of the School Board in the Town of Beaver for many years. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge.

 

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Dr. Russel Rossow of Evansville, Indiana and Edward Rossow who lives on the home farm near Loyal, and by one daughter, Mrs. Floyd Ashley of Chippewa Falls. There are nine grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
