Hasz, Donna (Marriage - 4 November 1961)

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church in Granton uniting in marriage Miss Donna Hasz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hasz, Rt. 1, Granton and Raymond G. Payne, Jr., Marshfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Payne, Sr., Granton. The Rev. Nicholas Hasz of Hewitt performed the double ring ceremony before an altar adorned with baskets of fall flowers.

As the bride approached the altar with her father, she was attired in a floor length gown of Princess white satin with a nylon tulle overskirt, embroidered with orange blossoms. The fitted bodice was styled with long, tapered sleeves, and a scalloped neckline studded with pearls and sequins.  Her shoulder length veil of embroidered net French illusion was attached to a borealis and pearl crown.  She carried a cascade arrangement of pink spider and white snowdrift chrysanthemums tied with white satin ribbon entwined with green.

Vicki Ann Hasz served her sister as miniature bride and wore a gown identical to that of the bride. She carried a bouquet of all white snowdrift chrysanthemums tied with pink and white ribbon.

Billy Draheim of Marshfield was miniature groom.

Miss Joanne Braatz, Menomonie, was the maid of honor and bridesmaid was Helen Payne, a sister of the groom. Both were attired in lilac-hued street-length dresses.

Allen Montgomery, Jr., was bestman. Groomsman was James Hasz.  John Grass of Milwaukee and Richard Albrecht were the ushers.

Following the ceremony 150 guests attended a reception held in the church parlors.  In the evening a supper was served in the church basement.

Both are graduates of Granton High School. They will make their home in Marshfield, where both are employed.

Guests attended the wedding from Chicago, Ill., Milwaukee, Reedsburg, Baraboo, Fort Atkinson, Newton, Menomonie, Rib Lake, Westfield, Grand Marsh, Thorp, Spencer, Loyal, Marshfield, Neillsville and Chili.
