Greenwood, Wisconsin (Black River Bowmen - 1962)

The annual banquet of Black River Bowmen’s club will be held in the dining hall of St. Mary’s Church in Greenwood Saturday night.  Members represent, Owen, Withee, Longwood, Greenwood and Loyal.

This archery club, which established a record of taking 23 deer with bow and arrow a year ago, took a total of seven deer during the past fall and winter. Tim Jens, freshman in Owen High School, got his third; Clayton Braun got his eighth; Les Buss got on in Clark County and one in Upper Michigan; Bill Krause got one; Howard Rabaska and Bernard Novobielski each got one near Necedah.

Leslie Jens, father of Tim, has taken 10 deer with arrow, but he missed last fall for the first time in several seasons.
