Schmidt, Vivian (? - 29 January 1962)

 

Funeral services were held January 31 from the Myre Funeral Home for Mrs. Carl (Vivian) Schmidt, 62, of Middleton, and a former resident of the Town of Warner, who died in University Hospital, Madison, January 29, after a long illness.

 

The Rev. Paul Doering of the Loyal Methodist Church was in charge, and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Albert Schaefer, Fred Smith, Paul Brandt, Ernst Molle, Lester Schuette and August Lemberg.

 

"His Eye is on the Sparrow," and "In the Garden" were sung by Mrs. G. W. Nelson and Mrs. Paul Doering, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Byron Zepplin.

 

A native of the Town of Warner, Mrs. Schmidt was Vivian Severson before her marriage November 3, 1923, at Granton. She made her home in Clark County until 1941, when the family moved to Bennett, and three years ago moved to Middleton.

 

Surviving besides her husband are; three sons, Herbert of Superior, James and Elwood of Middleton; four daughters, Mrs. Garth (Lorraine) Luchterhand of Loyal, Mrs. Theodore (Doris) Sannwald of Superior, Phyllis Schmidt of Middleton; and Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Bertrang of Waunakee.

 

Other survivors include: eight sisters, Mrs. Ernst (Dorothy) Molle of Unity, Mrs. Lester (Gertrude) Schutte of Unity; Mrs. Vernal (Mable) Bold of McClusky, N. D., Mrs. Paul (Bertha) Brandt of Franksville, Mrs. Tom (Marion) Ozanich, Mrs. Abe (Grace) Luntz, Mrs. Harry (Leida) Kurtzheim and Miss Ann Severson, all of Milwaukee.

 

People from out of town attending the services included: Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Sannwald, all of Superior; James, Edward, Phyllis and Carl Schmidt, all of Middleton; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schuette and Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Molle, all of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brandt and Darlene of Franksville; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kitzhaber, all of Greenwood; Mrs. Abe Luntz, Ann Severson, Mrs. Tom Ozanich and Mrs. Harry Kurtzheim, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shafer, Mr. and Mrs. George Behringer, Allen and Georgia, all of Winneconne; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith and Kathy of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. John Brandt of Stratford; Mrs. Robert Canfield and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Elmhorst, all of Granton; Melvin Englebretson of Owen; Mrs. Charles Neuenfeldt of Spencer; and Mrs. Eva Vogel of Wisconsin Rapids.
