Pederstuen, Carolyn B. (2 JUN 1959)

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Menomonie was the setting of a wedding for Miss Carolyn Beverly Pederstuen and Eugene Edward Zawadzki.  The young couple exchanged vows before Father Charles Blecka at a double ring ceremony at 10 o’clock nuptial Mass on June 2nd, 1959.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pederstuen of rural Knapp and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Zawadzki, who were residents of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.)

Miss Pederstuen was given in marriage by the groom’s uncle.  For her wedding she selected a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and net which featured a fitted bodice, scalloped neckline and a very full skirt.  She carried a bouquet of red roses.

Miss Theresa Pogodzinski, Owen, served the bride as maid of honor.  Mis Pogodzinski is the groom’s cousin, while the bride’s sisters, Beverly and Sonja, had the role of bridesmaids.  They appeared in blue net dresses of ballerina length and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations.  The bride’s sister, Ronda Jean, was flower girl.  She wore a floor length gown of white lace and net which was styled similar to that of the bride’s.  She carried a miniature bouquet of red roses.  All the girls wore a gold cross necklace as a gift of the bride.

Terry, Joseph and Lawrence Zawadzki were the groom’s attendants.  They, along with the groom wore white dinner coats, dark trousers and bow ties.

A reception was held at the Community Hall in Knapp, being attended by numerous friends and relatives of the young people.

Both the bride’s mother and the groom’s aunt wore navy blue dresses with white accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. Zawadzki will make their home on the groom’s farm near Owen after they return from their wedding trip to South Dakota and Glacier National Park.

Mrs. Zawadzki is a 1955 graduate of the Meonomonie High School and enrolled at Dunn county Teachers College, receing her diploma in 1957.  She accepted a position at the Miller Hill School and taught there until the present time.  Mr. Zawadzki is a graduate of Weber High School of Chicago, Ill.

The bride’s friends tendered her a pre-nuptial shower at Knapp.
